Holocaust Survivors Offer Message of Hope at the Norcross Welcome Center and History Museum

Holocaust Survivors Offer Message of Hope at the Norcross Welcome Center and History Museum

Norcross, GA--  (submitted by Tixie Fowler)

The Norcross Welcome Center & History Museum will have “Parallel Journeys” on exhibit through February 26th. The exhibit is considered appropriate for middle-school children ages 11 or 12 and older (content maybe considered “too much” for younger children). Regular center hours are 8a.m. – 5p.m. Monday through Friday.

The message behind the current exhibit at the Norcross Welcome Center & History Museum is one meant for the world. The exhibit is called “Parallel Journeys” and recounts the lives of dozens of teenagers--not all of them heroic--who were witnesses, participants, and often victims of World War II and the Holocaust.  While its stories and visuals are specific to that time and place, its significance transcends time, conveying an urgent and relevant point to young people of today.

Running Away to Join the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus

OK, so I’m not really running away to JOIN the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus even though I’d LOVE to hang with the clowns, but I am going... And, I want you to go, too!

I’ve got a FOUR pack of tickets to give to one lucky winner for the show on Thursday, February 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Phillips Arena in Atlanta. There’s also an All Access Pre-Show where all ticket holders can meet the performers and animals, learn circus skills and enjoy a taste of the performance before the show starts. Maybe I will get to hook up with those clowns after all. Ahem.
