NORCROSS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia great Herschel Walker has teamed with Atlanta developer Dan O'Leary to pitch a mixed-use entertainment and video gaming complex in Norcross, Ga.

Walker, a Heisman Trophy winner, plans to open a restaurant and sports bar in the proposed $1 billion video lottery terminal complex. The development includes 7,500 video lottery terminals, a luxury hotel, spa, performance venue and fine dining.

Walker's restaurant is the first business to sign up with the project, O'Leary Partners Inc. said. Walker's restaurant and sports bar will feature Southern food and memorabilia from his college and professional career.

O'Leary Partners estimates the complex will generate $350 million annually for the HOPE scholarship and create 2,500 permanent jobs.
The facility still requires approval from the Georgia Lottery Board and Gwinnett County Commission.
